Dishonest seller – continued.
-monitor your staff – a seller may turn out to be a thief – therefore, in your own interest and that of other employees, take appropriate preventive measures,
-equip checkout stations with electronic cash registers that enable accurate settlement of the seller’s accounts,
-purchase electronic scales to eliminate the possibility of underweighing the products sold,
-install personal lockers for employees so that they can safely store their belongings,
-make sure that storage rooms are locked and regularly prepare an inventory of the goods stored,
By following this advice, you will avoid trouble and misunderstandings. Think about it!!!
Securing museums, places of worship...
Far too little attention is paid to protecting national cultural heritage and sacred art.
According to the definition adopted at the UNESCO General Conference, which met in Paris on 14 November 1970, the term national cultural property means "...objects which, whether on religious or secular grounds, are specifically designated by each State as being of importance for archaeology, prehistory, history, literature, art or science..."
The information available indicates that paintings, works by engravers, lithographs, etchings, tapestries, furniture and clocks are most at risk. The number of thefts of statues, sculptures and paintings by renowned masters is steadily increasing, as is the theft of objects of historical and religious value belonging to sacred art from churches and chapels, which, being open to everyone, are usually not protected against theft to the slightest extent.
After all, according to the principle that opportunity makes the thief, thefts are usually committed in places that are not adequately protected.
