On Saturday, June 14, the eighth edition of the open football tournament for neighborhood teams was held. Twenty-one teams took part in this year’s competition. The young footballers competed in two age categories: primary-school pupils (9 teams) and lower-secondary-school pupils (12 teams).
In the primary-school category, Czterej Pancerni i Sondaj proved to be the best, playing with Rafał Mrozik, Arian Grodzicki, Patryk Dul, Krzysztof Janeczko, Marek Letko and Paweł Sondaj. Pancerni defeated Pędzące Brokuły 1–0 in the final.
Rafał Mrozik (Czterej Pancerni i Sondaj) received the award for the tournament’s top scorer in this age category, while Mateusz Zimniak of Pędzące Brokuły was named the best goalkeeper.
In the lower-secondary-school category, first place went to Wyindywidualizowane Orły Leosia, whose lineup consisted of Paweł Letko, Jakub Zawada, Przemysław Krzyśko, Piotr Wilisowski, Maciej Wieczorek, Wojtek Małek, Marino Nakonieczny and Damian Kotwica. In the final, Orły defeated FC Dysza Węża 2–1. Dominik Kotwica of Wyindywidualizowane Orły Leosia was the top scorer, while Bartek Bochnia of FC Mariusz Jop was named the best goalkeeper.
The winning teams will travel with their supervisors to Lubin for a league match. The tournament was organized by Jarosław Molenda, Bolesławiecki Klub Sportowy Bobrzanie and Miejski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji.
