On 16 April 1996, the 3rd Municipal Recitation Contest was held in Żeliszów. A total of 30 contestants from primary schools entered the competition: – from Bożejowice, Kraśnik Górny, Kruszyn, Ocice, Kraśnik Dolny, Brzeźnik, Dąbrowa, Trzebień and Żeliszów. The contestants were assessed by a panel consisting of Janina Jędrzejewska and Krystyna Boratyńska.
Final results:
1st place – Urszula Sobczak from the Primary School in Bożejowice,
Magdalena Dąbrowa from the Primary School in Bożejowice.
2nd place – Roman Koryluk from the Primary School in Żeliszów
3rd place – Barbara Zioła from the Primary School in Brzeźnik,
Izabela Konik from the Primary School in Kraśnik Górny. Honorable mentions: Urszula Żugaj (Żeliszów), Joanna Goleńska (Trzebień), Katarzyna Gregoryńska (Ocice), Magdalena Miler (Kruszyn), Eunika Zbylut (Dąbrowa).
