Break-ins and thefts:
Alcohol and tobacco products worth approximately 4,000 new zlotys were stolen from a grocery store in Tomisław, to the detriment of the GS in Bolesławiec;
Fattening feed for pigs worth 1,250 new zlotys was stolen from a feed warehouse in Żeliszów;
A television set and a camera were taken from an apartment after the door was forced open. The police identified the perpetrator of the break-in;
A television set was taken from another apartment in Wykroty after a window was smashed;
Four CB radios and a radio-cassette player worth a total of 1,400 new zlotys were stolen from the Scout Club on Komuny Paryskiej Street;
Volleyballs, guitars and school supplies were taken from Kindergarten No. 8;
Money was stolen from handbags in the teachers’ room at Primary School No. 4 after the lock was forced. A handbag at School No. 8 was emptied of money in a similar manner;
A VW Bus was stolen from the car park by the Ceramic Works. Robberies
Near Nowe Jaroszowice, two Ukrainian nationals stopped a convoy of cars carrying CIS citizens. The perpetrators of the robbery extorted “tribute” from those travelling for passage through Polish territory, and beat one of the drivers. The police arrested the perpetrators.
In the area behind the Market Square, three perpetrators took a leather jacket and documents from a man. The police arrested the perpetrators of the robbery.
Road accidents
On Staszica Street, a female pedestrian was struck after, while intoxicated, she stepped directly into the path of a Fiat Uno. The injured woman was taken to hospital with head injuries;
On Road No. 4 near Gościszów, a driver from Germany crossed into the left lane and caused a collision with another vehicle. The passengers and drivers of both vehicles sustained bodily injuries;
On Dolne Młyny Street, the driver of a VW Golf failed to adjust his speed to the weather conditions and hit the barriers. The passenger in the vehicle suffered a fracture of her left arm and a concussion;
On Żeromskiego Street, the driver of an AUDI struck a 10-year-old boy, who was taken to hospital with a head injury;
On Road No. 4, the driver of a Polonez skidded while overtaking and ended up in a ditch. The passenger suffered a spinal injury.
