Like the previous year, the editorial team of “Głos Bolesławca” announces a poll for the most popular athlete and coach in our town in 1995.
I remind you that the winners of the First Poll were: Marek Dąbrowski, now playing for the third-tier Karkonosze Jelenia Góra, and Mirosław Szapiel, currently coaching the district-league team Rybak Parowa.
This year I am not naming candidates for the title of the best athlete and coach, counting on our readers’ good judgment. However, if there are difficulties with making a choice, in the February issue of “Głos” I will provide a full list of outstanding athletes and coaches in 1995.
We would like to give this poll a more prestigious character, but that depends on the involvement of potential sponsors. There are still none. Last year, Mr. Skawiński failed to fulfill his promises to fund foreign trips for our laureates. Those willing to honor Bolesławiec’s most popular sports figures, the winners of our poll, are asked to contact the editorial office.
Poll regulations:
The aim is to select the most popular (best) athlete and coach in Bolesławiec in 1995.
You may vote for 5 athletes and 3 coaches. The first on the list will receive 5 points, the second 4 points, and so on; for coaches, the corresponding points are: 3, 2 and 1.
Only votes cast on the coupon printed in “Głos” will be valid. Any number of coupons may be sent.
The deadline for submitting coupons is 29 February 1996.
The results will be announced in the March issue of “Głos”.
The total number of points received on the coupons will determine the final ranking.
