On 20 February, a concert was held in the PSM auditorium, featuring the school's teachers: Janusz Bącal (violin), Piotr Jędrasik (cello), and Bogusław Uchmanowicz (clarinet). The trio performed, among other works, pieces by the Viennese classical composers: Mozart – Divertimento, Beethoven – Prelude and Fugue in E minor, Haydn – Sonata in G major, as well as popular pieces – The Beatles – When I'm 64, Yesterday, and themes from the musical "Fiddler on the Roof" and the film "Vabank". The trio demonstrated excellent precision in their performance, playing with great expression and commitment.
On 28 February, students of the State Music School, first level, in Lubań visited the Music School in Bolesławiec. The concert continued the cooperation between the two schools, which began with a performance by students from our school in Lubań on 10 December of the previous year. Both schools are relatively young institutions (the Bolesławiec school has been operating for 14 years, while the one in Lubań has operated for 7), yet they play a significant role in the cultural life of both towns. The schools' cooperation aims to compare artistic achievements and exchange repertoire and teaching experience. The concert by the students of the Lubań school consisted of solo performances and duets. The programme included, among other works, pieces by Shostakovich, Chopin, and Prokofiev, as well as popular music. Everyone was captivated by violinist Aleksandra Twardowska's virtuoso performance of Monti's Czardas, accompanied by Wojciech Gierasimowicz. Student Anna Szywała performed Shostakovich's Waltz, for which she received an honourable mention at the 2nd National Piano Tournament in Żagań. The concert concluded with popular pieces performed by students from the piano class.
