On 16 December 1996, the Primary School in Nowa Wieś was officially opened. Although construction of the school was completed in September, it was not until December that the classrooms and offices were furnished with furniture and the necessary teaching aids. A total of approximately 150,000 złoty was spent on equipping the new school. It is currently the most modernly equipped school in the Nowogrodziec municipality. The pupils do not sit at two-person desks; instead, each of them has their own desk and chair, which can easily be adjusted to their height. Traditional student cloakrooms were also replaced with an individual locker for each child. In addition, the school received a modern and environmentally friendly heating plant powered by diesel fuel. The completion of the school building is not the end of the investment; the next stage is the construction of a gymnasium and the expansion of sports and recreational facilities. The school was financed from several sources: municipal funds, a loan taken out from the European Fund for the Development of Polish Rural Areas, and funds obtained from the Regional Education Authority in Jelenia Góra.
