You are primarily associated with the Guild.
I work here every day as a senior specialist responsible for ZUS and education. It has been a long time, since I started working in 1980, and today I could not imagine parting with the craft, the office, the surroundings or the young people who learn and advance through successive levels of initiation into the craft. Working with young people gives me enormous satisfaction; I appreciate the almost family-like atmosphere in interpersonal relations, I am pleased by their progress in responsible work, the ease of communicating with people, and mutual kindness and assistance. I identify completely with my work, my surroundings and my Guild, and that is exceptionally important and necessary in life.
You are also a councillor, which is an indisputable expression of social recognition.
Yes, I serve as a councillor on the Bolesławiec Municipal Council and as chairwoman of the Education, Sport, Health and Social Welfare Committee. This is a sphere of completely different experiences, although they are in keeping with my interests. Here, too, there is no shortage of satisfaction resulting from the harmonious cooperation of the councillors, as well as from the visible improvement in the situation of rural educational institutions. Our municipal “speciality” is the beautiful, modern, multifunctional sports halls at schools, which were simply lacking in the past. We most recently commissioned one in Ocice: it serves not only children and the development of physical culture, but will also become a venue for cultural events for all residents, a place for meetings and celebrations—including family events such as weddings, receiving guests and so on. It is an important element in integrating the local community, a culture-forming factor, a workshop for educational work and an opening of the school to the world. We are beginning construction of a new full-size sports hall in Kraśnik (the tender has already been held and a contractor selected), and we have documentation for a similar facility in Kruszyn.
An impressive educational achievement...
This is not the end. The strategic goal is to eliminate small schools with a dozen or so pupils and create transport arrangements enabling these children to attend modern, full eight-grade schools with a strong teaching staff possessing a high level of professional qualifications. We want schools that provide a good standard of education while remaining close to children, and that guarantee a smooth transition to a higher level of education at secondary school.
We wish you every success in achieving your ambitious plans.
