The works on display in the Długa Gallery of Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury were created in August 2007, during the 43rd International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium. Last year’s symposium was attended by 19 sculptors from England, Ireland, Germany, Belarus, the Czech Republic and Poland.
The Bolesławiec exhibition presents works by artists including: Ruty Benjamini, Stanisław Brach, Karin Dornbusch, Władysław Garnik, Elžbieta Grosseová, Jane Jermyn, Janina Karczewska, Anna Klimešová, Halina Gabi Kłosowicz, Krystyna Gay-Kutschenreiter, Kacper Kuźnicki, Edyta Orlińska, Sebastian Pietkiewicz, Iryna Radkiewicz, Helga Rostock, Marta Małoszyc-Silbert, Andrzej Trzaska, Bronisław Wolanin and Dalibor Worm.
The exhibition can be visited until June 8 (Tuesday to Friday, from 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 18:00). On June 12, the exhibition will be presented in the German town of Waldendburg.
“The symposium is above all a meeting of people, a meeting of artists from different corners of the world,” says Kacper Kuźnicki, commissioner of the 43rd International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium. “I think that people visiting this exhibition will notice the diversity of these works for themselves,” he adds.
The International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium is an event known around the world. In 2004, the symposium received the Lower Silesian Key to Success, awarded by the Association for the Promotion of Lower Silesia. The event was recognized in the category: “Best cultural institution, cultural or educational initiative”.
