On 15 and 16 March, the Qualifiers for the Polish Junior and Youth Olympic Taekwondo (WTF) Championships were held in Olsztyn. Among the UKS ILYO Bolesławiec competitors, Yevgen Nikitin (63 kg category) qualified for the finals of the Polish Youth Championships. Unfortunately, luck was not on the side of our two juniors. Justyna Szyposz (52 kg category) and Amadeusz Dziemianko (59 kg category) were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the qualifiers.

Only competitors finishing from first to fourth place in the two qualifying events can qualify for the Polish Championship finals. The country’s top eight competitors take part in the finals. Bolesławiec will be represented by two competitors. In the junior category, it will be Krzysztof Jasiński (up to 48 kg), while in the youth category it will be the aforementioned Yevgen Nikitin.
