An unusual interior arrangement of the Pegaz club at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre, excellent photographs and texts, multimedia presentations – all this could be seen and read during the opening of an exhibition by Marcin Cysewski, Luis Probala and Iwo Rachwał. The young artists are students at I Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec. They are interested in film, both theoretically and practically (two of them are the authors of the film “Destiny”).

“In my case, photography is only an alternative. I prefer making films,” admits Iwo Rachwał. However, as he points out, filmmaking requires many sacrifices. “I doubt we will finish anything before the end of high school, so we wanted to show off our photography,” he adds.

Rachwał’s works were accompanied by poems by Łukasz Ludwikowski. “Iwo gave me his photographs to look through beforehand. I think I managed to choose the texts well to match what Iwo showed in the photographs. We began collaborating,” the writer explains. “Only Iwo’s photographs were complemented by my texts. Marcin went in the direction of performance and spatial exhibition, while Luis focused on multimedia visualisation,” Ludwikowski adds.

Luis Probala associates his future with photography: “I want to work with multiple exposure. It offers incredible possibilities.” This type of artistic activity is also very close to Marcin Cysewski. “Photography is my ambrosia,” Cysewski admits – “I am constantly walking around with a camera. I am constantly noticing something interesting.”
