On 8 March, four people covered in clay and stamped like Bolesławiec pottery handed out 3,000 leaflets at the International Tourism Fair in Berlin. The leaflets were shaped like invitations and included discount coupons for accommodation and meals. VS's presentation was met with an enthusiastic reception; at the Polish stand, the association's offer attracted enormous interest. The Clay People even gave several interviews, including some in front of TVP cameras.
The Via Sudetica Association wants to promote our city through initiatives such as Gliniada. The association's members invite everyone who cares about Bolesławiec's development to VS meetings. In the near future, exceptional concerts will be held under the Via Sudetica banner: on 12 March at Piwnica Paryska and on 12 April at Opałkowa Chata.
Another major campaign promoting Gliniada will begin on 12 May during Berlin's Festival of Cultures. The Clay People will march through the streets of Berlin together with representatives of 70 other countries. The association's members are already inviting everyone who would like to take part in this event to register. VS is also looking for sponsors willing to cover the cost of the trip.
Before the Ceramic Festival, Via Sudetica will organize professional photography workshops. Their subject will be the Clay People.
The association is also asking everyone who could host tourists with a discount coupon (5%) to get in touch. These people will receive an agreed VS identification mark, and their details will be posted on the association's website.
