On March 6, a meeting of the management, players, sponsors and supporters of BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec was held in the conference room of the District Office. The club’s strategic sponsor was officially presented that day. Until the end of the current competition, Bolesławiec football will be supported by construction company Heilit+Woerner. Company board member Damian Kublik attended the meeting and received the “Golden Ball” from BKS Bobrzanie vice-president Bartosz Kubica—the club’s most important distinction awarded to sponsors. District Governor Cezary Przybylski funded shirts for the youth players. Meanwhile, Maciej Małkowski, deputy mayor of Bolesławiec, said that the municipal authorities plan to open sports classes at Municipal School Complex No. 2 in Bolesławiec, which could soon become a genuine talent academy.
As Bartosz Kubica noted, the club’s goal for the upcoming round is promotion of the first team to the third division. The plans are ambitious, but not unrealistic. BKS Bobrzanie wants to attract as many supporters as possible to its matches. “We want top-level football to come to Bolesławiec. We will try to bring in several players from the Polish national team. It would be a dream to bring in Leo Beenhakker,” Kubica admitted. The Ceramika Cup tournament is also due to be held this year. However, as the club’s new authorities announce, this year’s event will be organized on a grand scale and at an appropriate level.
Damian Kublik spoke about Heilit+Woerner’s plans for the club: “The sponsorship agreement is currently for six months, but this is the beginning of our cooperation. We had to see how it would work out. Of course, we intend to be here for a longer period. I saw the potential, and we decided to support the club.” Kublik also said that Heilit+Woerner decided to cooperate with the Bolesławiec club because it is run by people who have an idea for football. The company’s representative is himself a former footballer and an avid supporter. “I come from a region where football is a religion,” Damian Kublik emphasized. It turned out that the strategic sponsor’s representative played for Ruch Chorzów for more than a dozen years. Perhaps, thanks to his connections, the Chorzów club’s junior team will be brought to our city.
Later in the meeting, BKS Bobrzanie’s first team presented itself to supporters in new kits bearing the strategic sponsor’s logo. Kamil Mielnik from Lwówek Śląski joined the team as a new signing. Marcin Szaja also returned to the team. Unfortunately, the new round will be played without Łukasz Rudyk, who received his military call-up. Mateusz Janczyszyn will also no longer play for BKS Bobrzanie.
During the final part of the meeting, supporters were given the floor. The issue that dominated the discussion was the lack of a place to train. Marian Szewerda said that footballers need somewhere to practice in order to play well, and currently they have no such opportunity. In the supporter’s view, MOSiR, which manages the stadium and the pitch on Spacerowa Street, is restricting the players’ ability to train freely. BKS Bobrzanie president Jan Woch expressed hope that the problems with training facilities are temporary. He added that he remains in constant contact with both the MOSiR director and the city authorities.
