Mrs. Marianna Maj lived through two world wars and the Silesian Uprising. She had lived in Bolesławiec for more than half a century. She raised three generations of descendants. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
In her recollections, she emphasized that many good things had happened to her in life. Mrs. Marianna was a deeply believing Christian who had been closely connected for many years with the parish on Kościelna Street in Bolesławiec. She was also musical, and especially enjoyed playing the piano. Although her eyes had already begun to fail her, she knew how to enjoy life until the end of her days.
She lived to the age of 104. The funeral mass and burial ceremony will take place on February 26 at 1:00 p.m. at the municipal cemetery in Bolesławiec.
