The incident occurred in January 2008. A resident of Bolesławiec from Gdańska Street was attacked in his apartment by three young men. The perpetrators punched him repeatedly in the head in an attempt to extort money. They took PLN 164 from the 60-year-old. What is more, this was not the attackers’ first visit to the older man’s apartment. The perpetrators came there from time to time—specifically to get money.
The injured 60-year-old died in hospital at the beginning of February. However, as Grzegorz Górski, press officer for the Bolesławiec police, emphasizes, the man’s death had nothing to do with the incident in January.
By decision of the District Court in Bolesławiec, the three attackers were placed in temporary custody for two months. They will face charges of robbery.
