A meeting with Katarzyna Maczel, author of the publication “Theatrical Life in Bolesławiec,” will be held on February 15, 2008, at 3:30 p.m. in the Museum of Ceramics building at 14 Kutuzowa Street. Katarzyna Maczel is the winner of the first edition of the Bolesławiec mayor’s competition for the best master’s or doctoral thesis concerning the history and present day of our city.
The thesis “Theatrical Life in Bolesławiec,” for which the author received second prize, presents the history of theatre in Bolesławiec—from the first Passion plays, through the pre-war period, to the present day. The Chapter members decided that the text deserved wider promotion and that this work was the most suitable for publication.
The publication was funded from the city budget.
