Another initiative by the Boleslawiec.org portal is getting under way. This time, we are inviting our Readers to take part in creating an album of photographs of Bolesławiec. The album will probably be published in late autumn 2008. We want it to contain 100 photographs by one hundred different authors.
The photographs should show our city: exceptional places (both well-known and less familiar), its most charming corners, and people connected with it. We also want the album to include photographs of Bolesławiec in every season—that is also why the publication date is planned for autumn.
“Since we launched the gallery on Boleslawiec.org, we have been surprised by the quality of the photographs posted there,” Krzysztof Gwizdała explains about the origins of the idea for the photographic album. “Looking through these works, we became convinced that many residents of Bolesławiec who are not professionally involved in photography take excellent photographs. For this reason alone, it is worth publishing such an album,” he adds.
We will provide details about the project in mid-February. Even now, however, we encourage you to photograph the city and its people with a view to having your work included in the album.
