The team playing in the third league will compete for promotion to the second league. In their most recent matches, the Bolesławiec players defeated MKS Piast Głogów 3–0 and Salos Nowa Ruda 3–1. These victories secured second place for them after the regular season. Our women’s team will still play in two more women’s third-league tournaments. The first will take place in Bolesławiec on 23 and 24 January, with the hosts, MKS Olimpia Jawor, MGKS Sobieski Oława and either Salos Nowa Ruda or MKS Piast Głogów taking part. The two best teams will meet in the semi-final. Promotion to the second league will be at stake.

On Sunday, 20 January, the UKS “Volley” players competing in the cadet league played a semi-final against MKS Polonia Świdnica. The Bolesławiec team won 3–2, but did not secure a place in the final (on 13 January, our players had lost 0–3 to the Świdnica team). In the cadet league bronze-medal matches, the Bolesławiec players will play away against MKS MOS Wrocław on 26 January. The volleyball players will compete in Bolesławiec a week later.

In Sunday’s match, UKS “Volley” played with the following lineup: Sylwia Michalska, Anna Kowalska, Ania Kowalska, Marta Wojdyła, Magda Kozłowska, Joanna Naglik, Ula Bachusz (libero), Kamila Duru, Patrycja Dopieralska, Martyna Ochocka, Ewelina Węgrzanowska and Dominika Mienculewicz.

The earlier defeat against MKS Świdnica was largely decided by illnesses and injuries to Volley’s key players. Recently, Marta Wojdyła and Joanna Naglik had not been training, and Magda Kozłowska also fell ill. Unfortunately, injuries occurred in the two most important matches.

UKS “Volley” lost only one match in the cadet league.
