The parking lot was built using historic granite paving stones, provided free of charge by the Regional Court in Jelenia Góra. “The entire project, including lighting, cost PLN 200,000,” says Deputy Mayor Karol Stasik. “This parking lot is one of the elements of the modernization of Grunwaldzka Street. As many as 50 new parking spaces have recently been created in this part of the city,” adds Karol Stasik. Twenty cars can park by the court; three spaces have been designated for people with disabilities.
For the past two years, the president of the Bolesławiec District Court had repeatedly reported the need to build such a parking lot. The city authorities could begin and carry out the project only after obtaining the consent and approval of the provincial conservator of monuments.
