The main topic of the conference at Bolesławiec’s Water and Sewerage Company was the municipalization of the sewerage division of the company.
The Voivode recalled the importance of this investment for the city. He also stressed that the earlier misunderstandings and disputes between the city and voivodeship authorities had not resulted from ill will, but from mutual misunderstanding.
The Voivode stressed several times that dividing the company—that is, separating its sewerage division and transferring it to the city—was the only legal route that could be taken at that point to save the municipality’s money.
Stanisław Łopatowski announced that state-owned enterprises would be transferred to local governments at the end of the following year. “There is no logical justification for the Voivode to keep such a company in his assets today,” Stanisław Łopatowski explained.
At the conference, the Voivode referred to his earlier meeting with the city’s mayor, Piotr Roman. He said that the previous misunderstandings between the city and voivodeship authorities had been cleared up. He also expressed hope that in the future all problems would be resolved at the negotiating table rather than through statements in the media.
