The first edition of the scholarship awards funded by Dominik Chodyra, a Bolesławiec City Council councillor, has concluded. Seven people received a total of more than PLN 4,000:

In November 2006, before the local elections, Dominik Chodyra promised that he would give his councillor's allowance to children in need. At the time, he admitted that he wanted to restore people's faith in politicians' selflessness and sincere intentions.
Under the regulations, exceptionally talented middle-school students living in Bolesławiec and facing particularly difficult financial circumstances may apply for financial assistance. Scholarships will be awarded in the following categories: humanities, exact sciences, art and sport.
Applications for the second edition will be collected in February.
