The Star of Kindness was supposed to begin at 5:00 p.m., but unfortunately nothing happened at that time. Twenty minutes later, a folk group began singing, but something completely different could be heard through the loudspeakers. Microphone tests were underway. “One, two, two, one, two” — these were the words the assembled residents heard most often. People then slowly began to leave.

The Star of Kindness began shortly after 5:30 p.m. Ewa Zbroja, director of Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury, spoke and apologized to the residents for the delay. She was followed by priests and the city mayor, Piotr Roman.
