The theme of this year's Bolesławiec Celebration of Kindness will be angels, as in previous years. Adults, teenagers and children dressed in white—with wings recommended!—will meet on 21 December at 5:00 p.m. at the portal next to the Sanctuary of the Assumption of the Mother of the Church and St. Nicholas. From there, they will go down the stairs to the market square, walk around the town hall and stop at the Christmas nativity scene.
The Bolesławiec Cultural Centre also invites everyone interested to take part in art workshops at the “Factory of Angels” (Orzeł cinema), where participants can make their own wings. The workshops will take place on:
- 13 December from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.—for schools, and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.—for city residents
- 14 December from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.—for schools
- 15 December from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.—for residents.
Please bring decorations needed to make the wings: feathers, white cords, cotton wool, ribbons, scraps of white fabric, etc. Organised groups from schools and kindergartens are asked to make reservations by calling 075 644 21 45.
During this year's Celebration of Kindness, a collection will also be held for children from the Bolesławiec Children's Home. We are counting on the support and generosity of residents. We want the children from the Children's Home to feel that they belong to the great Bolesławiec family. Money can be placed in the collection box at the nativity scene or transferred directly to the Children's Home account: PKO BANK POLSKI S.A. 66 1020 2137 0000 9202 0061 5252. The event organisers ask donors to include “Angel” as the payment reference.
