Here is a list of institutions that provide support to people and families in need:
Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Bolesławiec – 7 Cicha Street:
- provides assistance in the form of care for elderly, lonely and disabled people. The care includes help with meeting everyday living needs, ensuring hygiene, doctor-recommended care and, where possible, maintaining contact with the surrounding community
- as part of the multi-year programme “State Assistance in Providing Meals”, it helps children up to the age of 7, pupils until they complete upper-secondary school, and people and families in difficult life situations. Assistance includes meals, money to purchase a meal or food
- in order to ensure suitable housing conditions for people and families in need, the centre provides assistance in the form of earmarked benefits or vouchers to purchase fuel or pay gas and electricity heating bills during the 2007/2008 heating season.
Polish Red Cross Bolesławiec – Tysiąclecia Avenue:
- provides assistance at a 24-hour shelter for homeless people. Those staying there are provided with: shelter and full meals, medical care and addiction treatment, clothing, cleaning products and personal hygiene supplies
- in addition, the shelter building also contains a night shelter and crisis intervention rooms
At the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bolesławiec – Plac Zamkowy:
- there is a parish canteen where people and families can receive support in the form of a hot meal or dry provisions
The Children’s Friends Society at Zwycięstwa Street and the Caritas association operating at Kościelna Street and Orzeszkowej Street:
- are involved in distributing food in the city and municipality of Bolesławiec as part of the programme “Delivery of Food for the Poorest People of the European Union – PAED”.
Polish Committee for Social Assistance in Bolesławiec – 8 Komuny Paryskiej Street:
