On Friday, a contract was signed concerning the modernization and expansion of the rural sewer system. The document was signed by Feliks Fietz, director of the Poznań-based LITZ installation and engineering works company, the winner of the international tender, and Piotr Roman, representing the Urban Commune. The contract was signed in the presence of Kazimierz Gawron, Head of the Rural Commune.
The investment is being carried out with funding from the ISPA programme. The modernization and expansion of the rural sewer network is the first stage of a larger project. Subsequently, the urban sewer system and the wastewater treatment plant on Graniczna Street will also be modernized.
The total cost of the entire project is more than €20 million, of which 60% will come from the European ISPA programme. The remaining 40% will be financed by the communes from their own funds, loans and credits.
