On 22 October, the headteacher of Primary School No. 1 in Bolesławiec, Kornel Filipowicz, collected the Certificate of a School Supporting Gifted Students. The certificate had been awarded to the school a month earlier, following an audit by the Accreditation Committee of the Lower Silesian Network of Schools Supporting Gifted Students. The school in Bolesławiec had been working to obtain this certificate since 2004.

The ceremony at which the distinction was presented took place at Kliczków Castle during the International Conference of the Lower Silesian System for Supporting Gifted Students, held under the motto “A School Open to Gifted Students”. The conference was co-organised by the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, the Lower Silesian Superintendent of Education, and the Lower Silesian Centre for Teacher Development and Pedagogical Information in Wrocław. The aim of the two-day meeting was to exchange experiences in supporting students’ talents and to inspire creative activities.
