No one needs reminding that Bolesławiec is a city associated with ceramics. The Museum of Ceramics has ensured that, even after the conclusion of major artistic events such as the Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium, the residents of Bolesławiec can continue to enjoy beautiful sculptures.

You need to hurry

The exhibition of original sculptures by Przemysław Lasak, inspired by ancient civilizations and created by the graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, can be viewed only until the end of October.

Those who would like to return to the atmosphere of Bolesławiec’s Ceramic and Sculpture Symposia will certainly appreciate the impressive “Artists – Museum. The Art of Earth and Fire” exhibition on display at Kutuzowa Street. It features sculptures created over the 40-year history of the Ceramic and Sculpture Symposia. Their authors are outstanding Polish and foreign artists.

If that is not enough for ceramics enthusiasts, they can visit the Museum of Ceramics on Mickiewicza Street. In addition to the aforementioned fantastic works by Przemysław Lasak, two permanent exhibitions await visitors there: “Bolesławiec Stoneware from the 18th Century to the Present,” devoted to the history of Bolesławiec ceramics, and “European Ceramics,” a collection assembled over the past several years comprising around one hundred examples of stoneware produced in numerous European centers. It includes both utilitarian and decorative vessels, as well as sculptures from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and the beginning of the 20th century, originating from Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands and England, and created in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles, as well as works referring to historicism in art.
