Last weekend, the World Racketlon Grand Prix was held in Edinburgh, Scotland. Eighty players from around the world took part in the tournament. Bolesławiec was represented by Norbert Stolicki, Krzysztof Samonek and Jacek Szubert.

Our players competed in the elite group of athletes at the top of the world rankings. All representatives of our city put in strong performances in the individual competitions. Krzysztof Samonek took fifth place, losing to the world’s fifth-ranked player, Austrian Marcel Weigl. The other TOP players also achieved good results. Norbert Stolicki finished 11th, while Jacek Szubert took 14th place.

The doubles tournament was held alongside the individual competition. TOP Bolesławiec was represented by the Stolicki–Samonek pair. The Bolesławiec doubles team finished third. Following this success, our pair rose to eighth place in the world rankings. At the end of November, the Bolesławiec players will compete in the Austrian Grand Prix.
