The Innovation 2007 competition is open to small and medium-sized enterprises and municipalities in Euroregion Nysa. The Innovation Award is intended to express public recognition of the particular achievements of these enterprises in the development and implementation of technologies, as well as effective partnerships between public institutions and private entrepreneurs. Cross-border cooperation at the intersection of three countries—Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic—will also be taken into account. Powiat Bolesławiecki is a co-organizer of this year's event.
The Euroregion Presidium will present awards in the following categories:
- For the best Innovation—in this category, new products and technologies that determine economic success in the market and demonstrate progress will be recognized. The first prize is 1 100 euros
- For the best cross-border cooperation—in this category, cross-border cooperative partnerships that have achieved success in developing new products and technologies will be awarded. The first prize is 900 euros
- For the best public-private cooperation—in this category, the best projects and cooperation between municipalities and entrepreneurs, as well as companies creating new jobs, will be awarded (the Presidium will take into account activities supporting the development of existing companies, creating the best conditions for investment and protecting the natural environment). The first prize is 800 euros.
Applications may be submitted by 30 September 2007 to the secretariat of the Starostwo Powiatowe in Bolesławiec, Pl. Marsz. J. Piłsudskiego 2, 59-700 Bolesławiec. The application must include:
- a completely filled-in application form (it can be downloaded from the Starostwo Powiatowe website)
- the materials listed in the application form (the application may comprise a maximum of 6 A4 pages, including attachments)
The organizers also ask applicants to submit supplementary information: at least 2 photographs (in 9x16 cm format) of the subject of the application and a brief description of the subject of the application for publication (a maximum of half an A4 page).
