On Friday, the mayor of Nowogrodziec appointed a committee to carry out a detailed assessment of the losses in the municipality. The committee members went into the field to see for themselves the damage caused by the storm.

Mayor Robert Relich confirms that, following the preliminary inspections, around one hundred households were found to have suffered varying degrees of damage during the flood. More than 50 cases have already been documented.

Today, a budget reserve was activated to provide direct assistance to those most in need. Damage to municipal roads and bridges will also be assessed. Once all the losses have been tallied, the mayor will ask the voivode for assistance.
