On Saturday, BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec’s first team hosted Motobi Bystrzyca Kąty Wrocławskie. From the opening minutes, the visitors imposed a fast pace of play. Rafał Rybiński, among others, shot at the BKS goal, but fortunately the Motobi players lacked accuracy. Bolesławiec responded in the 14th minute. Chrystian Serkies sent a curling shot toward the visitors’ goal. The Motobi goalkeeper cleared the ball for a corner with the greatest difficulty.
For several subsequent minutes, our players threatened the visitors’ goal. Błażej Rajchel sent a powerful but “loose” ball into the penalty area. There was also danger after a corner. Józef Pietrzak made use of Łukasz Rudyk’s cross. Unfortunately, his header narrowly missed the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Chrystian Serkies had another chance to score, but his shot went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, a shot by the visitors struck the side netting of Marek Przykłota’s goal. Three minutes later, the visitors’ player Michał Kossakowski took advantage of a loose ball. The deflection deceived Marek Przykłota, and our goalkeeper had to retrieve the ball from the net.
In the second half, the Bolesławiec players tried to score an equalizer. First, Łukasz Rudyk failed to take advantage of a good opportunity. The BKS midfielder shot straight into the visitors’ goalkeeper’s hands. Later, Chrystian Serkies missed another chance. The ball was parried by the Motobi goalkeeper. Marek Kumoś’s follow-up was also off target. In the 70th minute, the BKS goalkeeper made an excellent intervention. Marek Przykłota saved a powerful shot by the visitors. The score did not change for the remainder of the match.
Our players were effectively blocked by the visitors’ well-organized defence. A little luck was all that was missing for a draw. The BKS midfielders played poorly.
