The small stage on Bankowa Street hosted, among others, the Bolesławiec Song and Dance Ensemble, the Jutrzenka Song and Dance Ensemble and the Canon dance group. A paratheatrical show could be seen in the square beside the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre. Accompanied by ethereal music, Monika Konieczna and Ewelina Ciszewska presented the magical performance “Two Women”.
In the evening, the Gospel New Jerusalem Apostolic Church choir performed on the small stage. The 22-member group from the United Kingdom performed in Poland for the first time. And it was a wonderful debut! The choir showed the Bolesławiec audience that gospel music can be both energetic and exuberant. Among other pieces, the group performed the song “Friend of God” by Israel Houghton and Micheal Gungor, well known to gospel fans, as well as an English version of the religious hymn “This Is the Day” (in a new, multi-part arrangement). In addition to the vocalists, dancers also performed in Bolesławiec, creating an unforgettable atmosphere in front of the stage. The enthusiasm and positive energy of the Gospel New Jerusalem Apostolic Church spread to the audience. Some of them even joined the dancers in the song performed at the end.
The “Chimera” Fire Dancers Theatre show also delighted the Bolesławiec audience. As they write on their website, “fire is not a game, it is art, dangerous art, but we love it”. Indeed. It would be difficult to deny the dancers’ passion. Their performance made quite an impression on the audience.
