The weather was favorable. Spectators had no shortage of excitement. Despite clouds of dust, roaring engines and the smell of exhaust fumes, the rally attracted a sizeable crowd of fans. Among the cars taking part, professional rally cars such as the Subaru Impreza could be seen. There were also trusty “Fiats 126p,” given only minor tuning.
