The incident took place on Friday at approximately 4:30 p.m. on the way out of Bolesławiec, near the Prnjavor restaurant. A private bus operating on the Bolesławiec–Wykroty route collided with a tractor crossing the road. A Volvo V70 passenger car was also involved in the collision; its windshield was shattered.
The emergency services that arrived at the scene found no other people in the vehicles. The ambulance crew treated three people for minor scratches, disinfecting the wounds. It appears that the tractor driver can consider himself very lucky.
The securing operation involved disconnecting the batteries, separating the vehicles and removing them from the roadway. The post-accident debris was also cleared from the road. The police directed traffic until the operation was completed.
