The Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury has prepared an attractive summer programme for children, young people and adults—in short, for everyone interested. Theatre workshops will begin next Monday. Classes will take place daily from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. MDK is addressing this offer to young people of middle-school age and older. The workshops will end with a performance showcasing the acting skills of our talented young participants. It will take place on Friday, 20 July, in the garden of the Museum of Ceramics on Mickiewicza Street.
At the end of July, workshops organised by the Powiatowe Centrum Edukacji Ekologicznej at the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury in Bolesławiec will begin. Their aim will be to develop a sense of responsibility for the natural environment, reinforce proper waste-segregation habits and make participants aware that they themselves have a major influence on the condition of our planet. The programme will include lectures and exercises. The summer workshops will also have a practical component. Participants will visit the Municipal Waste Landfill with a waste-sorting facility in Trzebień. They will make reusable eco-friendly bags and learn how to conduct a physicochemical analysis of water. The classes will run from 30 July to 3 August.
August
From 20 to 24 August, art workshops will be held where participants can learn the batik painting technique. This MDK offer is addressed to young people and adults. A maximum of eight people may take part. The cost is PLN 30. The Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury has not forgotten about children, however. Children aged seven and over, as well as young people, may participate in free outdoor sessions. The aim of these art workshops is to provide practical insight into the architecture and history of Bolesławiec. There is no limit on the number of participants. The outdoor sessions will run from 27 to 31 August. Meanwhile, classes for enthusiasts of assembling model aeroplanes will begin on 13 August. The classes are intended for everyone aged seven and over.
September
We would also like to inform you that decoupage workshops will be held from 3 to 7 September in Katarzyna Sas’s art studio. This offer is addressed to children aged nine and over. Participants should bring nail scissors, several small everyday objects, cardboard boxes, tins, flowerpots, old jugs—anything suitable for covering—leftover coloured wrapping paper, paper napkins with printed designs or newspapers with large photographs.
