Seniors may submit a maximum of two photographs (black and white or color; minimum format: 13 by 18 cm, maximum: 20 by 30 cm). Competition participants retain their copyrights. The author’s surname, age and address must be placed on the back of the photographs. The organizers will not consider negatives, only prints. After the competition, with the photographer’s consent, the works will be presented at an exhibition. The competition is being announced throughout the country. All seniors who are not professional photographers may participate.
Photographs may be sent to: Southwestern Forum of Local Government "Pogranicze", 59-800 Lubań, 4 Przemysłowa Street (tel. 075 646 2636, fax: 075 646 2637). The deadline for submitting entries is August 24 (residents of Day Care Homes are asked to send their photographs by August 20).
The exhibition is being organized to mark the 8th Seniors’ Day, held on September 22, and the 10th Saxon Harvest Festival in Frankenberg. The intention of the organizers, the Saxon Office for Rural Areas and the Saxony Seniors’ Association, is to show the lives, work and customs of seniors who have remained young at heart.
