The festival will be held at Rev. Jerzy Popiełuszko Square. For the event, a “Martyniec stop” will be created there, arranged by rural women’s associations and folk ensembles. Starting at 10:00 a.m., the following homesteads will be set up: “Jutrzenka,” “Bośnia,” “Tomin,” “Zagroda Pod Złotym Kłosem,” “Kunowa,” “Jurkowo,” “Tylinów,” “Laskowice,” and “Nad Kwisą.” Each will present the folklore of the countries of the former Yugoslavia. The homesteads will offer various demonstrations, including making pita dough, cooking goulash and pepper soup, preparing rakija, and roasting pečenica over a bonfire. The demonstrations will be accompanied by a ground-level stage where folk ensembles preserving Balkan traditions in our county, as well as ensembles from the Lubusz region, will dance and sing. The event will be hosted by actor Stanisław Sielicki.

At 6:00 p.m., we invite you to the festival concert. This year’s festival marks the 60th anniversary of the “Jutrzenka” Song and Dance Ensemble. The concert will be dedicated specifically to “Jutrzenka.” The “Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble will also perform. The concert will end with a communal celebration featuring the “Balkan Folk Acoustic” ensemble. Journalists from Radio Zachód in Zielona Góra, from the editorial team responsible for folk-music programs, will record the event.

At the same time, we inform you that on June 30 there will be restrictions on road traffic in the city center (the section of Karola Miarki Street from the intersection with Łukasiewicza Street to the intersection with A. Asnyka Street will be closed).
