For many months, Piotr D. had been sought by a prosecutor from Greater Poland Voivodeship. Doctor D. had worked at the hospital in Czarnków under a contract for specific work in the emergency department. When the hospital director demanded that he present the original documents confirming his professional qualifications, Doctor D. disappeared. He did not collect his payment. A prosecutor from Greater Poland Voivodeship charged him with attempting to extort approximately PLN 4,000 in remuneration and misleading the hospital director. Piotr D. was also sought by prosecutors from Chorzów and police officers from Świętochłowice. He was wanted for theft, fraud and using forged documents.
A few days ago, Piotr D., who had been the medical director of the hospital on Jeleniogórska Street since March this year, was suspended. When the hospital director, Urszula Fuchs, began checking the doctor's qualifications, he disappeared.
According to the website of the Supreme Medical Chamber, Piotr D. is a doctor but has no specialty. He earned no less than PLN 40,000 at the Bolesławiec hospital. He will have to return part of the money because he received it as an on-duty doctor with a specialty.
