The match began with both teams playing calmly. After fifteen minutes, BKS players had established an advantage in possession and in the number of scoring opportunities created.

First came a dangerous BKS attack and a blocked shot by Michalkiewicz, after which the ball flew just over the visitors’ crossbar. In the 20th minute, a similar attack ended with a blocked shot by Rudyk. Once again, BKS’s players were visibly unable to break through, as their attacks were stopped or blocked by Górnik’s defence.

In the 23rd minute, Demczar fouled a visiting player in front of the BKS penalty area. After the visitors’ player took the shot, the ball hit our team’s wall. BKS launched several more dangerous attacks in the first half, but none resulted in the desired goal. In the 24th minute, Halkowicz played the ball into the penalty area, but none of our players was there. In the 29th minute, Michalkiewicz sent a shot wide, while in the next attack Pietkiewicz lost the ball in Górnik’s penalty area. In the 46th minute, the visitors took a free kick. The ball was cleared away from our players twice; on the third attempt, the shot found the net. The first half ended with Górnik Wałbrzych leading 1–0.

The second half was almost identical. After conceding, BKS threw itself into the effort to make up the deficit. The desperate attacks paid off. In the 55th minute, Pietrzak took a free kick. Michalkiewicz seized on the ball deflected off a player and scored to make it 1–1. However, the referee disallowed the goal, ruling that the player had been offside. The referee’s decision came somewhat late, after the scorer had already celebrated. Before Michalkiewicz learned that the goal had been disallowed, he had taken off his shirt in celebration and was shown a yellow card.

BKS remained the dominant team until the end of the match. Despite several good opportunities, Marcin Ciliński’s players were unable to equalise. In the 59th minute, the visitors produced a fine move. Following a corner, the ball flew just over the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Pietkiewicz found himself in a promising position, but missed badly. Despite its clear advantage in possession and numerous chances to score, BKS ultimately lost the match 1–0.
