High curbs are a nuisance not only for cycling enthusiasts. The problem also affects people with disabilities who use wheelchairs, as well as, for example, people walking with prams. After all, they too have to struggle with excessively high ramps. Thanks to your involvement and intervention, you can change this!

All you need to do is write a letter to Bolesławiec City Hall. Here is how to do it:

  1. Enter your details
Provide your first name, surname and full address (also if you are sending the letter by email)
  2. Describe the problem
Indicate what problem you noticed while travelling by bicycle or wheelchair. It is very important that you provide the exact location where the problem you describe occurs. If possible, attach a photograph
  3. State what you expect. You can write what action you expect to be taken (e.g. lowering a high curb, repairing the road surface, etc.)
  4. Sign and send the request.
Sign the request with your first name and surname below its content. Then send the request.

You can send it by traditional mail to:
Bolesławiec City Hall
Rynek 41
59-700 Bolesławiec (Municipal Infrastructure and Environmental Protection Department)

Or by email: inwestycje@um.boleslawiec.pl (remember: provide all your details, including your address). “We are waiting for your comments and suggestions for locations until 10 October 2016. From the proposals received, as part of ongoing maintenance and within the available funds, in 2017 we will take action to level the curbs,” municipal officials say. “If the road does not fall within our remit, we will forward your letter to the appropriate road manager so that the matter can be dealt with. We will repeat the campaign next year!”
