Lower Secondary School No. 3, together with its partner school from Česká Lípa, is carrying out the “Young Non-Olympic Champions Know No Borders!” project. The project aims to present alternative forms of physical activity to young people and enable them to take part in them. These activities are part of the World Games for non-Olympic sports. During their three-day stay, the guests from the Czech Republic not only took part in sports activities, but also had the opportunity to get to know Bolesławiec and Szklarska Poręba and to go climbing in the Rope Park.
On the third day of their stay, a game of “Bubble Football”—football played inside special inflatable bubbles—was held on the GS No. 3 pitch. During breaks, participants could discover another game, boule. Meanwhile, at the Bolesławiec “Orka” Water Park, water basketball matches were played alongside activities in the pool.
Spending time together not only served to introduce the participants to new sports, but also greatly helped integrate the entire group. “We cannot wait for our visit to Česká Lípa, where we will continue the project activities and develop our friendships,” report the participants from Bolesławiec’s “number three” school.
