Since September 2011, the Cantate Deo choir (Latin for “sing to God”) has operated at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre. Its director is the outstanding conductor Aleksander Samostrokow. The choir performs regularly, including in churches, and gives concerts on a regular basis. This year, the ensemble performed at the International Religious Song Festival “Cantate Deo” (nomen omen) in Rzeszów. “Taking part in this competition alone is a great distinction for our choir,” says “ii” Aleksander Samostrokow.
Recruitment is under way for the Bolesławiec Cantate Deo choir. Aleksander Samostrokow invites musically talented adults—with good voices and a good ear—to free classes. People with experience and musical education are especially welcome. Registration is available before or after choir rehearsals, which take place at the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Centre in Bolesławiec (Chopin Street):
