Tuesday’s match began with dangerous attacks from Śląsk. The players from Wrocław imposed a fast pace and, it must be admitted, dictated the terms for the first quarter of an hour. In the 5th minute, the BKS goal was saved by the post. In the 16th minute, Marcin Ciliński chipped the ball over the visitors’ defenders, playing it precisely to Tomasz Jasiński. However, one-on-one with the goalkeeper, he shot too weakly. The Śląsk goalkeeper caught the ball without difficulty. A minute later, Marcin Potyszka produced a fine shot, but the Śląsk goalkeeper made another effective save.
In the 25th minute, BKS put together a beautiful move, but failed to finish it with a goal. From the right side of the penalty area, Ciliński passed to Potyszka, who was moving into an unmarked position. Potyszka struck the ball first time, but once again the visitors’ goalkeeper saved his team. In the 31st minute, Ciliński shot from 18 metres. However, the goalkeeper managed to tip the ball heading for the top corner over the bar. In the 36th minute, Potyszka shot again, but the Śląsk goalkeeper once more made an effective save. The visitors created a dangerous opportunity late in the first half. Kamil Witkowski’s shot missed the target by a small margin.
The second half began similarly to the first. Śląsk had more possession. In the 60th minute, the BKS goalkeeper made an effective save after a powerful shot by the visitors. Three minutes later, Jasiński had a chance to score. However, his shot from a tight angle was off target. In the 68th minute, the visitors scored, but it turned out that the Śląsk player had handled the ball. The referee disallowed the goal.
In the 71st minute, Mirosław Markowski had a chance to score, but the BKS player’s shot was too weak. Near the end of the match, Robert Nitarski also had an opportunity, but his shot went straight into the visitors’ goalkeeper’s hands. The score did not change until the final whistle. BKS drew 0–0 with Śląsk.
