The symposium has been held continuously in Bolesławiec for 51 years. It is a prestigious event not only on Poland’s cultural map, but also on the world stage. It effectively promotes the achievements of outstanding ceramic sculptors from Poland and abroad. The ceremonial opening of the 52nd International Ceramics and Sculpture Symposium took place during the opening of the “Before/After” exhibition on Friday, August 19, as part of the 22nd Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival.

For the past two years, the symposium has been organized in a changed format. The post-symposium works are displayed in an exhibition tent in the Market Square during the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival. The symposium has also returned to being held in August so that the artists can participate in the city’s largest festival. Lectures given by the participants will begin in September, always at 6:00 p.m. in the conference room (second floor) of BOK-MCC at 1c J. Piłsudskiego Square.
