The tragedy occurred on Sunday evening. The fire brigade received a report that a man had jumped into the water and failed to resurface. Firefighters travelled by inflatable boat downstream from Mostowa Street. The man's body was found approximately 400 metres from the bridge. An emergency doctor pronounced the man dead. Two fire brigade units, an ambulance and the police were at the scene. The cause of the drowning is not yet known.
