Three camp sessions were attended by 138 children aged 6 to 15 from Bolesławiec County, as well as from Lubań, Jelenia Góra and even Germany. For many of them, this was another trip to our camp and, judging by their enthusiastic post-camp comments, not the last.

The strength of the TPD camps is the carefully selected team of counsellors, who have plenty of initiative and ideas for spending time in an attractive way. “The holiday location is important. We try to ensure that the facility is close to the sea, safe, has good sanitary facilities and a common room available to the camp,” say representatives of TPD Bolesławiec.

The weather was not always favourable, but the children had plenty of activities that kept them from getting bored or missing home. There was sunbathing, playing in the sand, as well as trips, swimming-pool visits, competitions, discos, camp games and sports tournaments. Some children from Bolesławiec were able to attend the camp thanks to funding from Bolesławiec City Hall. The Bolesławiec Society of Friends of Children also received a grant from the KGHM Polska Miedź Foundation. Meanwhile, the Musketeers Foundation financed a holiday for two children with disabilities and Filip's rehabilitation.

“Thanks to this support, 60% of the children did not have to pay the full camp fee, for which we are very grateful to the sponsors,” adds Jadwiga Bobek, head of the Bolesławiec Society of Friends of Children. “All camp participants received discs with photographs so that the memories would last longer. For the organizers, the best review is the declarations that they will return next year.”
