The main sponsor of the race is Ceramika Millena in Parzyce, which has created unique ceramic shoes for the occasion. They will be awarded to the winners of the women’s and men’s open categories, while trophies will go to the runners-up in second and third place. Additional prizes—two Garmin Forerunner 10 running watches—will be raffled among those who complete the race in the open category (women’s and men’s). The watches have been funded by Ensila Group Sp. z o.o. from Bolesławiec. The Forerunner 10 is Garmin’s simplest GPS running watch. It accurately monitors the distance covered, speed reached and calories burned, allowing users to track their progress toward their goals.
The Run for Ceramika Millena’s Ceramic Shoe will take place on August 20 on forest paths in Bolesławiec, near Piastów Street. Children in grades 1–3 will run at 9:00 and cover a distance of approximately one kilometre. Children in grades 4–6, who will start at 9:30, will run about 2 km. The open-category race will begin at 10:00. Its participants will compete over a distance of approximately 5 km.
