Edyta Orlińska has prepared unique, handmade cups thrown on a potter’s wheel. The cups are one of a kind, just like every costume in the Ceramic Parade. These several-dozen-centimetre-tall vessels are inspired by the shapes of Bolesławiec ceramics, made from locally produced stoneware and decorated using the stamping method.

This year’s Ceramic Carnival parade will open the 22nd Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival. Parade participants will set off on Friday, 19 August, at 5:00 p.m. from Adama Asnyka Street and proceed to the Market Square along Ignacego Łukasiewicza, Karola Miarki and Kościelna Streets. They will circle the Market Square, where a jury stand will be set up on the Town Hall steps.

The largest event associated with ceramics is also an opportunity for ceramic companies from the city and surrounding area to present themselves. This year, the leading manufacturers will once again amaze us. Ceramika Artystyczna Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego will take part with a 180-person group in the “Peacock Eyes” presentation. A 100-person group from Fabryka Naczyń Kamionkowych Manufaktura will appear in the “Blue Kingdom” programme, referring to the new “blue line” collection. Ceramika Artystyczna Wiza and its 35-person group will appear in the “Ceramics with a Song” presentation. Ceramika Milena will also take part in the parade with a 45-person group.

Individuals, companies and groups taking part in the competition can win valuable cash prizes of PLN 1,000 as well as prizes in kind.
