Participants will prepare a show and present it on 19 August during the Ceramic Carnival, the parade opening the 22nd Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival. The workshops will be led by Urszula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz.

As part of these workshops, on Wednesday, 17 August, Karolina Wycisk, a Jagiellonian University doctoral student, will lead a performance of everyday life: looking at everyday behaviour from a theatrical perspective. How do we create reality using words? What does it mean that speaking is simultaneously an action? How do we perform in ordinary, everyday situations, and why do we theatricalise our experiences?

“During the workshop, we will consciously work through our social roles,” says the doctoral student. “If theatre, then only theatre in which we all perform. Without a curtain or a division into actors and spectators passively observing an invented reality. Here, everyone is an active participant,” the instructor adds.

The workshops are being held as part of the “On the Way to Identity” project, carried out in Lower Silesia.
