It enables the recognition and detection of so-called asymptomatic changes (lumps and other abnormalities in the breast) at a very early stage of development—when they cannot be felt by the woman or doctor, which significantly increases the chances of recovery.

– Although mammography is the most effective method of breast cancer prevention, still fewer than half of women have undergone a free examination במסגרת the Population-Based Programme for the Early Detection of Breast Cancer, says Dr Małgorzata Cymerman from LUX MED Diagnostyka. – We encourage women to undergo breast cancer screening, as it is the most common malignant tumour among Polish women.

LUX MED Diagnostyka invites women to free mammography examinations in a mammobus, which will take place:

  • Nowogrodziec – 2 August in the car park by the Municipal Office, ul. Rynek 1
  • Osiecznica – 3 August in front of the clinic, by the Municipal Services Facility, ul. Piaskowa 1A.

Free mammography for women aged 50–69

The examination במסגרת the Population-Based Programme for the Early Detection of Breast Cancer is free of charge and reimbursed every two years for women by the National Health Fund (or every 12 months for women who, במסגרת implementation of the Programme, have received an appropriate written recommendation). A doctor's referral is not required.

The organisers ask participants to register in advance by calling 58 666 2 444 or at https://www.mammo.pl/formularz. The Call Center is open from Monday to Saturday.
